Hiphop and Books panelists prepare to take their discussions nationwide in Aug. 2008

Since May 2008 Conversations Book Club and Shadow Play Entertainment has been working together with a distinguished panel of individuals to discuss issues that affect the Hiphop community.

(Hiphop and Books Panelists,1-r: Eddie Wright, Deanna Tisdale , Attorney Martin Perkins, Maeson, Jokah the General, Chele, Trill, Berlinda White, Cyrus A. Webb and author Voncele Savage.)

Began by Hiphop and Books founder Cyrus A. Webb, the discussions have been nationally recognized for their depth and commitment to providing a voice for the Hiphop community, without adding to the stereotypes that exists about those in the industry.

With four success forums behind them (HIPHOP: Why the bad 'rap'?, HIPHOP: A Friend of enemy of women?, WHAT'S IN A WORD: Double standands in Hiphop and America and HIPHOP AND POLITICS: Can the two work together for the good of the community?), the group is preparing for its most exciting debates to date: BLACKS AND OBAMA: A Vote of Conscience, Conviction or Color?

Discussions will begin in Mississippi later in August 2008 and continue across the country. For more information, contact Cyrus A. Webb at 601.896.5616 or via email at cawebb4@juno.com. You can also visit http://www.hiphopandbooks.com or http://www.myspace.com/hiphopandbooks.
